Parent support
Parent-Focused Family Therapy
Designed specifically for parents needing support with challenging child behaviors and first-time parents. PFFT is an intensive, short-term approach (typically 6-9 months) that shows significant progress when practiced consistently.
This specialized therapy focuses on:
Practical problem-solving for specific behavior challenges
Development of effective parenting strategies
Resolution of family conflicts
Educational support to better understand your child's developmental needs
Drawing on extensive background in Special Education and Applied Behavioral Analysis, PFFT provides concrete tools that create lasting change. The first initial session is with the parents only to discuss in-depth behaviors and goals. The following sessions are with the child where the parent will be asked to participate occasionally in session and observe sessions so the clinician can provide parent coaching, family integration, and support parents in learning the behavioral skills that the clinician is implementing with the child.
DMZ Therapy offers 3 concierge packages for PFFT so that parents can choose the right fit for them and their little one.
Parent Skills Classes
With all of the changes in the world, parenting is changing too! DMZ Therapy offers Parent Skills Classes where parents can meet with Dominika virtually or in-person to discuss parenting strategies. Parents learn behavior and communication strategies, as well as positive reinforcers and implementing routines in their life to reduce behaviors, support their child’s development, and reduce their own stress!
DMZ Therapy offers 3 concierge packages. Parents are able to choose classes as needed to choosing an option where support is continuous and ongoing!
